Inputs and outputs
I remember my undergraduate studies when I was learning to do chemical engineering balances, mass and component balances, energy balances and so on. There I could learn that everything has an explanation, there was no magic and all the things are always transforming, changing states, conditions, and properties, consuming and creating, getting and relieving, losing and winning. All that is always so natural and applicable in every professional field and besides in our life.
But something that currently concerns me is the balance of the information and data taking place in our minds, the place where take place the transit of information our brain receives. We are so aware of the quality of food for our health, but what about the amount and quality of information that we receive every day which influences our daily life... Are we prepared to process all that? Do each person has a limit?, What can we do to handle the overwhelming undesired information to avoid stress?
Nowadays, we are always receiving advertising and information on social media and doing many things at the same time. It is known that this multitasking style of life can affect our attention level, so we might starting harming the quality of certain processes in our minds. Our mind becomes like a "reactor" or a place where a certain process take place: We receive an information, we process it, and the outcome can be a bunch of things a job task, a friends conversation, an exam, a joke, etc. depending of the information and of course the intended use of that. The concern I have is the quality of the process. It is like to affect the efficiency of the processor to overload the feed above the capacity for what equipment was designed. If we do not have correct handling of all the incomes we got at the same time, they can turn out to be negative.
I consider very important the reinforcement in children for selectiveness and getting a critic point of view of the information given to them, they could help themselves, if we try from since now we can be responsible for the incomes of future brains.
